Catherine has spent years of her life caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions, along with the arrival of her estranged sister and the advances of Hal, a student of her father's who keeps investigating the 103 valuable notebooks left behind by her father for any last bits of greatness. Over a long weekend, a burgeoning romance and the discovery of a mysterious (and possibly) valuable notebook asks Catherine the most difficult question of all: just how much of her father's madness and genius did she inherit?
